LDK Solar Co., Ltd. is a leading vertically integrated manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) products. LDK Solar manufactures polysilicon, mono and multicrystalline ingots, wafers, cells, modules, systems, power projects and solutions. LDK Solar has manufacturing facilities in Xinyu, Nanchang and Suzhou.
In July, 2005, LDK was registered in Xinyu, Jiangxi province, started production in April, 2006. On June 1st, 2007, LDK successfully listed in NYSE financiered 0.486 billion dollars, became the first company of Jiangxi, China listed in NYSE. It fulfilled the largest IPO of new energy industry and the largest single IPO in China.
In 2008, the revenue of LDK Solar has exceeded 12 billion Yuan, it became the youngest top 500 enterprise in China, the top ten enterprise and the sole non-state high-tech enterprise whose revenue had exceeded 10 billion Yuan in Jiangxi province. In 2009, LDK Solar became the sole PV enterprise whose sales exceed 1000MW all over the world. The wafer market share of the company occupied almost 20% over the world. In 2010, our revenue exceeded 20billion, and has become the enterprise of the largest shipment and the highest profitability. In 2011, its sales and market share continued to buck the trend to rise. In 2012, the company continued to expand new market through its high-performance wafer M2 and wafer M3. In 2013, our company keeps on its research and development of high-efficient products to proceed forward in the difficult situation.

In 2009, LDK Solar expanded the scope of its vertical integration strategy to include sales of solar modules to developers, distributors and system integrators. LDK Solar acquired the crystalline module manufacturing plant of Best Solar in February 2010 to bring the manufacturing capability in-house.
As part of LDK Solar's vertical integration strategy, it constructed a polysilicon plant with two production facilities near its wafer production plants in Xinyu, China. The first facility has a planned installed annualized production capacity of 3,000 metric tons and the second facility has three separate 5,000 MT trains, for a planned 15,000 MT annualized production capacity. Combining the two polysilicon plants, LDK Solar expects to reach 18,000 MT capacity by the end of 2011.
